Cloud Computing

Cloud computing is the future of computing as it completely eliminates the requisite of installing applications on all computers. In cloud computing, only one application is installed on a remote server and all other computers can access this application by simply using a web based application or simply the internet.

The concept of cloud computing can be understood to have two sections- the front end and the back end. The front end is the side of the user or the client. The back end consists of all the servers, computers and storage systems which create what is called the cloud of the computing services. This cloud can run simple applications like emails and word processors to very complex applications like data analysis programs.

There are several advantages of cloud computing which makes us make use of this concept. These are:

• Data, applications and information can be accessed anytime and from anywhere as long as the computer from which one needs to access these is connected to the internet.
• Cloud computing brings down the cost of hardware as no advanced hardware is required on the client's side.
• Cloud computing gives company-wide access to information and so an organization does not need to spend unnecessarily on purchasing software license for every employee.
