Benched Staff
Any staff not assigned to a project (internal or external) which does not have a clearly defined delivery data, is labeled as benched staff. The development centre has a clearly specified KRA to keep this staff to near zero level.
The benched staff is assigned one of the following activities:
- Work on internal project with defined milestone. The development center maintains a record of all the pending activities ranging from Product upgrades and Internal Projects.
- Undergo training .
- Skill based advanced training in his area of expertise.
- Cross skill training.
- Software Engineering process related.
- Behavioural Training.
- Conduct training in house i.e. skill based or software engineering process based.
- Update documentation of internal systems.
- Assist QA in undertaking project quality reviews as required.
